Scalp Health 101: Feeding Your Follicles
Hey there, are you feeding your follicles?
Today, we're diving deep into an important piece beneath those luscious locks – your scalp! Think of it as the VIP section of your hair party. We're about to spill the tea on why a happy, healthy scalp is the real MVP. So, grab your favorite hairbrush, and let's talk scalp secrets!
We’re going to let you in on a little secret … Your scalp is really the star of the show.
It's the Beyoncé of the beauty world, quietly running the show while your hair takes center stage. But, just like any celeb, it needs a little extra love to stay red carpet-ready. While taking care of your hair is important, the scalp is often forgotten.
First things first, if you’re not oiling your scalp, this is your PSA to start! Now, we know what you're thinking – oil? On my scalp? Trust us, it's like giving your scalp a spa day. Picture tiny masseuses, all decked out in spa robes, working their magic. Oiling your scalp with the proper products not only helps to support the pH of your scalp - creating a healthy biome - but also can feed your follicles with the nutrients they need to help your hair grow and become stronger. One of our favourite products to help with this is the Najeau Follicle Drops. They are extremely nurturing and stimulate hair growth as well!
Use the dropper and run lines on the scalp. Massage a small amount onto your scalp in circular motions, imagining your fingers are on a tropical vacation. Leave it on for a bit (30 minutes should do the trick), and then wash it out. If you don’t have 30 minutes, massaging the follicle drops in before the shampoo is better then nothing at all. Your scalp will thank you with a glowing review!
If you’re someone who suffers from dandruff, psoriasis or an irritated scalp, oiling should definitely be in your routine! Most of the time, a dry itchy scalp is the result of a lack of hydration. Thankfully, there are a lot of product options to help balance this!
Last but not least, hydration is key! Just as you need water to survive, your scalp craves hydration. Imagine your scalp as a thirsty cactus in the desert – without hydration, it likely will be limp and lacking life. So, sip that water, stay hydrated, and treat your scalp to a moisture-rich environment. You wouldn't want your roots to turn into tumbleweeds, right? Consider incorporating a hydrating shampoo and conditioner in your routine, to support both your scalp and your hair strands.
Trust us, this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to hair health – make sure to stay tuned as we continue to share everything you need to know to continue down the path to your best hair yet.
